When Gulf Electronics contacted us for some new storefront solutions in busy Mombasa town, they had one key goal: to stand out in the heavily saturated electronics market. Their previous signage was being overshadowed by busy street life and other competitors lining the bustling commercial district.

We created and installed a fresh, double-sided LED lightbox sign to dramatically improve their street presence. The signage offers a bright, crisp display of Gulf Electronics’ brilliant branding in optimal view both day and night. We designed the lightbox from corrosion-resistant materials for the coastal city of Mombasa to help maintain the bright, striking appearance in a humid, salty environment.

Although the new sign was installed within a few weeks, the results were evident. Foot traffic increased significantly as the bright, professional signage began to increase business awareness along the crowded street. Customers commented they could see the store several blocks away, but what enthused people more was how the clear illumination provided a welcoming atmosphere after dark for evening shoppers.

What ultimately made this project special was not only the technical delivery of a project completed on time. The magic was in how a well-executed sign could truly impact a local business owner’s livelihood.
